Okay, so maybe I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer, so bear with me, but did UGG always make handbags? Well, if they didn't, they do now! I just found this absolutely fabulous Twist-Strap Tote...

I seriously thought the end of the fall/winter 2008/2009 fashion season would be the end of fugly bags. I was wrong. Maybe my expectations were too high but I've been seeing so many beautiful spring bags lately that I just wasn't expecting something so odd looking. The D&G Dolce & Gabbana 'Waikiki Jenna' Shoulder Bag has one plus since it's in my fave color, pink, but that's where the love ends. What is it exactly? A wristlet? A clutch? Shoulder bag? I'm really confused about how to even carry this bag - do you stick your arm through the large hole in the center? Where do you put your stuff? The hole takes up most of the bag so you can't even really carry anything in it! And what's with the shoulder strap?? The bag isn't even big enough to require one. So many questions, so little interest...

While browsing around Saks Fifth Avenue, on the search for some beautiful handbags, I came across the Nancy Gonzalez Large Crocodile Tote in Lavender and my is it stunning!

The Nancy Gonzalez Large Crocodile tote features two double top handles that have a 3 1/2 inch drop. My favorite detail of the handbag is the magnetic closure, which is always perfect for any handbag. A zipper closure in my opinion would not only ruin the style of the handbag but also make the handbag look a tad bit tacky.

The tote is actually made of rich crocodile, which explains the handbags’ hefty price! The Nancy Gonzalez Large Crocodile Tote retails for $3,350 at Saks Fifth Avenue. $3,350 is a lot of money for a purse, but compared to other designers that also sell exotic pieces it’s actually not that bad of a price. Hermes, for example, sells exotic pieces that can cost over $10,000.

If you are not too fond of the Lavender tote, the Nancy Gonzalez Large Crocodile Tote also comes in a black version, which is also absolutely beautiful. In fact, the black version of the tote is probably the more classier of the two. Whichever color you prefer, there is no doubt that the Nancy Gonzalez Large Crocodile is absolutely gorgeous.

Ok, obviously pink is the color of the moment. Fuchsia, hot pink and magenta bags are popping up everywhere and the color, combined with the fabulous touch of Pauric Sweeney equals a must have bag! There's not a Pauric Sweeney bag that I haven't loved and this Pauric Sweeney Mini Overnight 3 Shoulder Bag goes right to the top of my 'want it' list. The fuchsia-colored eelskin leather makes it luxurious and the design is oh-so-cute. I love the peek-a-boo pleat down the front, contrasting red leather straps with heart-shaped embossed leather attached to the handles. The bag also incorporates this season's other trend - a detachable shoulder strap. The dangling tassel, whipstitched handles and contrast leather trim makes the bag a bit more bohemian than the pink eelskin leather would suggest but it's such a nice balance that any woman can wear it, with everything from a power suit to a tunic top and jeans. No need to worry too much about your outfit though - this bag deserves to be the center of attention!
